DeLancey Direct enters its 10th   year of business in 2012.

Incorporated in 2002, DeLancey Direct imported and poured in the province of Alberta its first hefeweizen, Edelweiss Hefetrueb, from Hofbrau Kaltenhausen in June 2003. Since then, we’ve stumbled through some of the finest craft beer houses in search of the best examples of beer styles – both locally, and the world over.

After obtaining an Import License for Alberta, Vern Raincock, founder, introduced some of the world’s best beer and wine into the country. Beer from small breweries in Canada, United States & Europe were represented and imported at the beginning. The focus today reflects on past achievements and the portfolio includes unique premium small batch ales, lagers, and Sake.

In 2011 – over a million beer lovers had a chance to try one of DeLancey’s world class ales and lagers in Canada.

DeLancey Direct is  referred to as one of the most influential importers of craft beer in Western Canada. DeLancey Direct’s portfolio has expanded since 2003 to include Canada’s finest hand crafted specialty ales and lagers, with producers from the Maritimes to British Columbia.

Over the years, the scope of imported craft ales and lagers has increased annually. This was the reason for DeLancey Direct focus primarily on craft beer in 2010.

What differentiates DeLancey Direct from other Beer Sales and Marketing Agencies?

DeLancey Direct focuses on quality over quantity – without exception. All products imported and represented by DeLancey Direct are carefully selected by our Category Managers. Our Category Managers are highly experienced and have marketed craft beer from Europe, Canada and United States for more than two decades.

Before a beer producer is included in our portfolio, an unbiased trade and media panel samples potential products and scores the products with respect to value and quality. Only products that rank in the highest quality percentile are considered.
